This pack protects the house itself and what you need to rebuild after. It assumes you already drink, bleed-stop, see, hear, and feed the household — now you secure the structure.

First Alert HOME1 Fire Extinguisher handles fire. A 2-in-1 smoke and carbon monoxide detector layer for the hallway and bedrooms where code says it belongs.

Kidde Battery-Powered Carbon Monoxide Detector adds a dedicated CO alarm for the kitchen level or near any fuel-burning appliance. Two different CO sensors in different spots is better than one.

First Alert SMI110 10-Year Battery Smoke Alarm is the alarm that talks. Photoelectric smoke detection with voice alerts so a sleeping household hears which room needs attention.

Prime-Line PH 17106 Gas Shut-Off Wrench turns the gas valve a quarter turn when you smell gas after a quake or storm. Keep it zip-tied to the meter, not in a drawer.
